Our Mission

The Stroud Youth Field Hockey Association was founded with a simple goal: to give every child in our community the chance to play, learn, and grow through sports. What started as a small thought, led to the creation of our youth program with the support of the Community Foundation of Monroe County. With 37 athletes signed up in our first season, we are thrilled and excited to expand each season to give our community a place where young athletes can thrive on and off of the field!

We believe that sports are about more than just winning. They are a vehicle for teaching life lessons, building resilience, and fostering lifelong friendships. Our recreational league prioritizes skill development, consistency, and ensures that every player feels valued. As the season moves forward, the competitive nature of your child will grow and it is incredible to watch!

As a non-profit organization, we reinvest all proceeds into field maintenance, equipment upgrades, and eventually, a plan to develop scholarship opportunities for families in financial need.

We are apart of the NJPA Field Hockey League. More information can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/njpahockey/home
